A tax-efficient gift many of your clients aren't making yet.
Recommending a stock donation takes you five minutes. We do everything else.
Clients with appreciated stock can generally give more at a lower after-tax cost than giving cash. Most don't, because the mechanics used to be painful. You point, your client clicks, and we handle the transfer, the compliance and the paper trail their CPA will want.

Why recommend stock over cash.
For clients holding appreciated securities more than one year, a direct donation is generally more tax-efficient than selling and giving the proceeds.
No capital gains tax on the gift
Donating the shares directly generally avoids recognizing the built-in gain: federal long-term rates up to 20%, plus the 3.8% net investment income tax and state taxes where they apply.
Full fair-market-value deduction
Long-term holdings donated to a public charity are generally deductible at full fair market value, up to 30% of AGI with a five-year carryforward, for clients who itemize.
More reaches the charity
Because no tax comes out first, the charity can receive the full value, more than the after-tax proceeds of a sale, at the same cost to your client.
Concentrated positions, reduced charitably
For a client overweight in one stock, donating appreciated shares trims the position without recognizing the gain.
General information, not tax or legal advice. Outcomes depend on each client's circumstances, and shares held one year or less are treated differently.

Your five minutes. Our everything else.
Nothing for you or your back office to process.
You spot the opportunity
A client with appreciated stock and charitable intent. Recommend donating shares instead of writing a check, and share their charity's donate-stock page.
Your client completes it
A short online form: the stock, the shares, the charity. Or the paper form through their broker. Nobody asks for their brokerage login.
We handle the transfer
Forms generated, the transfer request sent to the client's brokerage, compliance handled. A few firms, such as Fidelity, need your client's signed form first; we show them the steps.
The paper trail arrives
Your client is emailed when the gift starts, and again when the shares arrive with an IRS-compliant receipt for the value of the donated shares. With a free donor account they can follow every stage on the gift's page.
Broker-to-broker transfer time varies by brokerage. Some brokerages require a Medallion Signature Guarantee; when one does, we tell the client exactly what to do.
What your client experiences, because your name is on the recommendation.
Free for donors, always
No donor fees. The receiving nonprofit pays a published 1.9% processing fee.
A dashboard for repeat giving
Details saved once, every gift tracked, and every tax receipt in one place at year end.
A live person on the phone
When your client, or you on their behalf, has a question, a real person answers. Not a chatbot, not a ticket queue.
Client-ready resources. Advisor-ready support.
Material written for you to hand straight to clients. Ask and we'll send the kit.

“Can my client give to any charity?”
Gifts go to verified nonprofits registered with Stock Donator, searchable in our directory. If your client's charity isn't set up yet, it can be ready before the gift is: a free account, open in minutes, with no brokerage account and nothing owed until a donation arrives.
