How it works

Giving stock takes three steps

  1. 1Choose the stock and the number of sharesAny stock, ETF or mutual fund you hold at a US brokerage.
  2. 2Sign the transfer request onlineFor most brokerages we send it for you. A few need you to send it yourself, and we tell you which. Or use our DTC details.
  3. 3Your gift reaches Walking with PurposeThe shares are sold and the money is sent to Walking with Purpose. You get a tax receipt.
